Crypto India: Parliament Panel Questions Finance Ministry on Crypto

India’s Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance is hearing oral evidence from the Ministry of Finance’s Department of Economic Affairs on virtual digital assets (VDAs) today. The hearing is part of the committee’s study, “A Study on Virtual Digital Assets and Way Forward,” focused on the future of crypto in India. The Finance Ministry’s appearance follows earlier discussions with other government and professional bodies. The hearing could provide further input into India’s approach to crypto regulation and policy.
