Forbes magazine released a list of the 75 Russian billionaires who received the largest dividend payments in 2026. Topping the list was LUKOIL founder Vagit Alekperov, who received 106.2 billion rubles in dividend payments from the oil company.
Second place went to NOVATEK Chairman Leonid Mikhelson and his family. Their dividend income is estimated at 87.1 billion rubles. The sources of these payments are listed as NOVATEK and Sibur. Rounding out the top three is Gennady Timchenko, a member of the board of directors of both companies, with 71.5 billion rubles.

- Mikhail Fridman, co-owner of LetterOne Holdings and Alfa Group (39.5 billion rubles);
- Vladimir Potanin, president of the Interros holding company (35.9 billion rubles);
- Leonid Fedun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IFD Capital (34.9 billion rubles);
- Vladimir Lisin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NLMK (34 billion rubles);
- German Khan, member of the Board of Directors of LetterOne Holdings and the Supervisory Board of Alfa Group (31 billion rubles).
A total of 75 Russians who received the largest dividend payments in 2026 made the Forbes list.
As of April 23, 2026, Forbes’ list of the world’s richest people included 155 Russians, nine more than the previous year. The combined wealth of Russian billionaires reached a record $696.5 billion.
In the Forbes ranking dated April 23, 2026, Vagit Alekperov ranked third among the richest Russians with a fortune of $29.5 billion. Leonid Mikhelson was in fourth place with $28.3 billion, while Gennady Timchenko was in seventh with $24.2 billion.
However, by July 1, 2026, Vagit Alekperov’s net worth had decreased by $547 million to $22 billion, and Leonid Fedun’s by $100 million, totaling $8.88 billion. Meanwhile, Leonid Mikhelson increased his net worth by $1.8 billion to $25.5 billion, Gennady Timchenko by $1.15 billion to $15.4 billion, and Mikhail Fridman by $588 million to $10.7 billion.
