Nuwellis Appoints Brian Johnson As Director Of Quality And Regulatory Affairs

(RTTNews) - Nuwellis, Inc. (NUWE), a medical technology company, announced Brian Johnson's appointment as Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs. In this role, Johnson will lead Nuwellis' quality management and regulatory activities, including quality systems, audits and product development initiatives. Johnson brings 13 years of medical device quality and regulatory experience, with a proven track record leading quality systems, regulatory activities, audits and product development initiatives.

According to the company, his appointment strengthens Nuwellis' quality and regulatory capabilities to advance product development, commercialisation, and initiatives across the cardiorenal continuum.

Nuwellis develops solutions for patient care through monitoring, therapy, and data-informed clinical decision-making across acute and chronic care settings. The company offers Aquadex ultrafiltration therapy to manage acute fluid overload across various care settings.

For the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, net loss narrowed to $4.83 million from $12.55 million in the prior year.

Net sales were $1.97 million, up 14% from $1.72 million in the prior year.

As of June 30, 2026, the company had cash and cash equivalents of approximately $3.9 million.

NUWE has traded between $0.71 and $172.90 over the last year. The stock closed Wednesday's trade at $0.81, down 3.54%.

In overnight trading, NUWE is down 1.10% at $0.80.
