The Real Deal first reported the sale, putting the price at $3,125 per square foot for the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom house at 1421 Wyant Road, a 5,920-square-foot gated property.
The deal
According to The Real Deal's Kari Hamanaka, the closing occurred in July but was not recorded in the Multiple Listing Service until Friday, September 11, which is why the transaction only now enters the public record. The buyer was a limited liability company tied to John Jarve and Jacqueline Jarve. John Jarve is partner emeritus at venture capital firm Menlo Ventures and founder of Sierra Point Capital, per property and state records cited by the publication.
Realtor.com confirmed the $18.5 million figure and the 2017 purchase price of $4.17 million, noting that Puth was 25 when he bought the property. The Times of India's real estate desk reported that Carolwood Estates' Cameron Chesley and Shaun Alan Lee represented the seller, while Compass's Gregoire and Beuoy Real Estate Group represented the buyer.
The property itself is built for privacy: mature landscaping, hardwood flooring throughout, and a layout that opens to courtyards and gardens, features the Times of India's desk highlighted as Montecito hallmarks. Six bedrooms and seven bathrooms across 5,920 square feet put it firmly in the estate tier of the local market.
A wedding venue and a family home
The house carries personal history: Puth and Sansone married there on September 7, 2024, after two years of dating, having grown up together in New Jersey.
