What’s Next for the Uniswap Price Rally—Can it Break $7 in September?

What’s Next for the Uniswap Price Rally—Can it Break $7 in September?
What’s Next for the Uniswap Price Rally—Can it Break $7 in September?
  • Uniswap’s broader price structure remains bullish while the rising trendline holds, but $7.50-$7.80 resistance must break for a stronger breakout

  • Negative spot & futures CVD suggests buying pressure remains weak, making stronger spot demand essential to validate any breakout

Uniswap price is holding above $6 after a strong recovery, but the rally is now approaching a crucial resistance zone around $7.50 to $7.80. The latest price structure shows higher lows along a rising trendline, suggesting buyers remain active, while the resistance area could determine whether UNI price extends its recovery or slips back into the consolidation zone.Â

UNI Price Approaches Key Resistance While CVD Remains Weak

UNI continues to trade above a rising trendline that has supported the recovery since mid-August. The token climbed toward $6.80 before pulling back to around $6.40, keeping the bullish structure intact. However, the bigger test lies around $7.50 to $7.80, where UNI has previously faced selling pressure. A daily close above this range could strengthen the bullish case, opening doors towards higher targets.

UNI’s derivatives data represent a mixed picture beneath the recent price recovery as the aggregated open interest climbs to around $324 million. Besides, the funding rate is also positive at roughly 0.0045%, suggesting longs currently have a modest edge, while market participation & leveraged positioning remain elevated. However, the reading is not high enough on its own to indicate an overcrowded bullish trade.

The bigger warning comes from CVD, as spot CVD remains negative at around -$7.3 million, while futures have fallen roughly to -$325.8 million. This suggests aggressive futures buying has not been driving the latest recovery. However, if the price pushes toward $7.50 to $7.80, while spot CVD strengthens & open interest remains elevated, the breakout is expected to have a stronger foundation; otherwise, a rejection is imminent.

UNI Price Outlook: Breakout Above $7.80 Remains the Key Test

Uniswap’s broder structure remains constructive as long as the rising trendline continues to hold, but the token still needs to clear the $7.50 to $7.80 resistance zone to confirm a meaningful breakout. For now, $6 to $6.20 remains an important downside support area, while a decisive daily close above $7.80 could shift the technical outlook more firmly in favour of the bulls. Until then, the UNI price rally could remain within a recovery range, while the next move will depend on whether spot demand improves with the improving price structure.
